Granite Mountain Nature Gallery is a family operated rock shop and nature-related business since 1987. We carry an extensive inventory of fossils, minerals, rock spheres and vases, jewelry, beads, rock decorator pieces, framed insects, and more.
The store is located at 305 E Park Street, Suite A and open daily 10am-6pm with extended hours in the summer.
Our Mission: To nurture a community rich in culture and inspirational programs. We coordinate and conduct instruction in the arts and humanities, facilitate opportunities for artists to develop relationships with program participants, build local partnerships, and support public art.
McCall Digest is an online community magazine for and about the part of central Idaho that includes the communities of McCall, Donnelly, Cascade, Yellow Pine, New Meadows, Council, Riggins and Grangeville. The region covers Valley, Adams and Idaho counties, the Salmon River Mountains and the Payette National Forest.
A collection of stories highlighting who we are as communities and a region, McCall Digest includes articles on a variety of topics of interest and includes a calendar of local events and activities. It’s a place where community members share stories – about the people, businesses and places that comprise our current culture as well as our history, shining a light on our hopes, inspirations and goals for the future of this region. Visitors to the area can learn about who we are and what our area has to offer as a tourist destination.

We are a Non-Profit organization committed to bringing affordable, high quality music to Valley County. We have been doing this for over 35 years.
The Society offers a variety of music performances and educational opportunities for the benefit of local musicians, audiences, and students, with the aim of enriching the cultural climate of the McCall area. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation which provides scholarships in addition to performances.
The McCall Senior Center provides a place for seniors to enjoy nutrition, health, social and educational programs and a friendly atmosphere.
Our center is active in community affairs and provides quality services and programs through nutrition, Meals on Wheels, information on social and educational programs and recreational activities supporting senior’s independence and encouraging their continued involvement within our community. The center welcomes those persons who are not yet considered “seniors”, but individuals who add to our programs with new vigor and ideas. We provide hot meals twice a week to our members and freshly made meals for delivery through our Meals on Wheels program.
We are the only Senior Center in the town of McCall and we are the community disaster center due to our building size and availability of our kitchen.
Receiving a good meal at the Senior Center provides a way for seniors to enjoy the companionship of their peers and to enrich their health with a nutritionally balanced, well prepared meal. During the summer our attendance for evening meals averages around 60, while in winter months the average attendance is 25-30, as snowbirds leave for warmer temperatures.
Meals on Wheels (“MOW”) is a community service-based program that delivers hot, nutritious meals to the homes of the elderly with the help of willing and dedicated volunteers from the community. The MOW programs help elderly or disabled individuals who are unable to prepare their own meals to stay connected to their communities, to remain healthy and to live independently in their homes for as long as possible. The MOW program has been organized in McCall for over 12 years. With humble beginnings in the Senior Center kitchen, the service has grown to deliver over 1200 meals every year.
The McCall Senior Center provides a great atmosphere for people to enjoy each other’s company and it provides many educational presentations and opportunities. Once a month we hold an Ear Clinic and twice a month a Foot Clinic. We have a food pantry for those in need and plenty of space for games and relaxation. Other activities we host include: live music for dinners, a Winter Carnival Pancake Breakfast and Senior Lunch, Spring Yard Sale and a Christmas Bazaar.

id Theater is a development only theater company. We believe that in order to have great theater we have to start with great plays, and in order to have great plays we must nurture talented writers. Working chiefly in McCall, Idaho and New York City, id provides a safe place for artists (professional, emerging, amateur & student) to develop work, take risks and introduce audiences to adventurous new works that reflect, challenge and celebrate them.
This development happens through four distinct programs:
• Seven Devils Playwrights Conference an annual two-week Conference bringing playwrights & theater artists from around the country to McCall, Idaho for 2 weeks of rehearsals, readings and workshops of new work, including plays by area high school students.
• NYC Sit-In! A monthly reading series that offers artists who have worked with us a venue to hear re-writes, polish up old plays or hear new works for the very first time at the Back Room at Jimmy’s No. 43 in New York City.
• Bridgeworks supports writers as they bridge the gap from development to production.
• id-iots at Play are writer’s groups composed of playwrights who gather every two weeks to share and read new work.
Since 2001, id has developed more than 145 new plays by Pulitzer Prize-winners, emerging writers, high school students and everything in between. Plays developed through id have gone on to full production at such venues as The Humana Festival/Actors Theater of Louisville, Roundabout Theatre, Denver Theater Center, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Barrington Stage Company, Chicago’s Gift Theater, Kitchen Theater, Montana Rep and Boise Contemporary Theater, among many others.
Third generation artist Tracy Bailey Holmes is a Fine Artist, Director for and Founder of Holmes Galleries, a nonprofit Business/Galleries exhibitor promoting and benefiting artist, art organizations and art for children in public schools.
Supporter and past Chairperson for the Children’s Center for the Arts fund-raising events. Tracy Bailey Holmes also served on the Advisory Board of Directors for the Children’s Center for the Arts which serves children in public school arts programs. She served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Pasadena Arts Counsel. She is a recipient of “The Gold Crown Award” for “Business in the Arts” for “Outstanding Contribution and Service to the Community in the Arts”. She is also a member of the California Art Club.
Her background includes commercial and fine art studies abroad in Zurich Switzerland, with travels throughout Germany, Holland, Austria, and France affording her the direct experience to paint from life, and the front lines of the “Tour de France”.
Locally her studies include Otis Art Institute, Art Center College, and currently studies with Jove Wang. Her work has been used in major motion pictures including conceptual design work, set design and art department coordinator.. Tracy was also influenced by her grandfather, Jack Ray, who started out painting original show and movie posters, who eventually rose to higher levels of extensive works in and was inducted into, the IAAPA; (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) Hall of Fame, for his Outstanding Achievement and Contribution of his Extraordinary Artistic Talent and Energy in the Amusement Park Industry. Roy and Walt Disney share the same Hall of Fame. Tracy was also influenced by her artist mother, a French Canadian Fine Artist known for her watercolor “Show Girl Series”.
An acclaimed Cycle Sport Artist, traveling VIP each year with an official Tour de France Operator, Tracy is also currently working on a historical series entitled “Champions of Cycling”. She is a licensed NASCAR Artist since 1995, who’s work is a favorite of many collectors, with examples of her paintings displayed in the DU PONT Headquarters Trophy Room, Jeff Gordon Collection, Hendrix Motorsports, Southern Automobile Club Corporate headquarters Lobby, along with many other Corporations, businesses, and private collections locally and abroad. Tracy Holmes is the first American Sports Artist in Cycle Sport Magazine and is featured in over 17 News paper articles and 5 magazines, including Los Angeles Times, American Chronicle, San Marino Tribune, Herald Tribune, Star News, Valley Sun, Outlook, and many others for her impact in the arts.
Native Californian currently residing in Southern California with her husband and three children, Tracy’s love and desire to inspire, encourage and uplift the human spirit in transforming images with boldness and beauty, accredits her talents and successes to her maker, the love and support of her family, friends, community, and the “Champions from every race in the sport of living” .
Established in August 1973, the Valley County Museum Complex at Roseberry Idaho is governed by the Long Valley Preservation Society (LVPS). Roseberry stands by itself in the middle of the Long Valley and is located one and one half miles from Donnelly on Idaho State Highway 55. As the largest presentation of Finnish Culture in the Western United States, Roseberry is also a National and International draw for foreign visitors. Roseberry is unique because the museum is currently comprised of twenty-two buildings, many housing historical displays, and providing visitors with a year-round view of the history of Long Valley. The Museum is operated seasonally. Hours are: May – Sunday 1-5; June/July/August – Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1-5; September – Sunday 1-5. Visitors to the town site are welcome to view buildings year-round. The summer season provides rustic grassy areas for picnics.
PRIVATE EVENTS – Weddings, Family Gatherings, Memorials, Class Reunions – Can be held on the Roseberry Museum Grounds. Providing both indoor seating capacity up to 100 and adjoining outdoor space to accommodate up to 300, there are events planned throughout the summer season.
